The tiled roof coverings are a Sandtoft Olympus in the Tuscan colour and all fixed as per the manufactures specification and the coverings comply with BS 5534.
Natural clay has long been regarded as one of the most durable and beautiful building materials available. It has been used for more than 5000 years for its longevity and its beauty.
Olympus is manufactured from natural clay taken from the alluvial plain of the Humber estuary.
The clay pits are periodically restored as wetland habitats, two of which are now registered as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The Slate roof covering are a Zamora Blue /Grey finish, this is a Spanish slate from the Galicia region.
The slate has a textured surface with dressed edges, the Zamora is tested to the current British and European requirements.
All of the slates are fixed to the manufactures specification and the coverings comply with BS 5534
All of the lead works involved was carried out by Rowsell’s fully trained operatives to enable all types of lead works and coverings to be carried out , works are carried out to BS EN 12588 and as per the Lead Sheet Association Guide (LSA).
